Oh, have you not been sucked down the Dallas fashion blogger rabbit hole? Well, lucky you I have quite the introduction. Mi Golondrina, favorita of the denizens of Dallas class creates beautiful one of a kind Mexican shirts.
Is this a peasant shirt? Yes. Do I like comfy shirts that support women who are trying to lift their families out of poverty? Double YES. Is this a $200 vanity ticket to feeling better about your conspicuous consumption? Absolutely. Do I think it's worth paying?
Mostly Yes. For a few reasons:
a. Neckline works in front of moms, moms of BFs, Catholic priests, small children, and anyone else you'd like to pretend you are a chaste maiden in front of.
b. Room for day drinking.
c. You can be comfortable but also have a feel-good story about your roomy clothes on while boarding planes.
d. They wash well (cold water, hang dry). Ironing is tricky.
I was sucked into all the Instagram glory of these bad boys and eventually purchased two items, one which I had to return. Customer service was great, the quality is A+ , and I feel like I made a difference in the life of someone, which I think about while simultaneously making more online orders as the environment burns. The flipside is that it's not particularly flattering on an hourglass shape with big boobs, and probably drapes quite unflatteringly after 3 chardonnays. Now that I can't return it I choose to focus on the positives.
Buy it. Try it. Go to the all-you-can-eat-buffet.
